Architecture and design

• The design by Kuryłowicz & Associates Architecture Studio refers to musical instruments:
  • The façade resembles the form of a string instrument,
  • The interior combines contrasting black and white colours, reminiscent of a piano keyboard.
• The interior design was created by Towarzystwo Projektowe, which took care of the details emphasising the musical character of the building.

Impressive technical data

• Usable area: 35,300 m²; total area: 48,500 m²,
• Cubic capacity: 257,000 m³,
• The building has six above-ground floors and three underground floors, offering space for both spectators and artists.

World-class acoustics

• The New York-based company Arup (formerly Artec Consultants Inc) was responsible for the acoustic design. Thanks to their solutions, every hall in the NFM guarantees ideal listening conditions
• for various genres of music: from classical to jazz to electronic.
  Box-in-box technology was used to ensure that the concert halls are acoustically isolated from external noise and vibrations. As a result, the sound in the halls is clear and uncontaminated by environmental disturbances.

Flexibility and versatility

• The NFM halls are adapted to a variety of musical and artistic events. It is a place where tradition meets modernity, creating a space for artists from all over the world.

Our role as a designer and installer was to design and implement an AV transmission system and a content display system on Digital Signage monitors. A LAN transmission network was designed for the entire facility – signals to individual DS players installed directly on large-format monitors and dedicated monitor mounts. The Digital Signage system is managed from a server, which provides an efficient and convenient solution with the option of dividing into groups and individual players.
